Soft spoken shell of a man
withered, wrinkled and weary
longest years behind him now
life’s hard work shows its fury

Wife, mother and grandma
wrinkles and gray hair can’t hide
the princess he’s always loved
forever lurking deep inside

One step left in this big play
The final golden years of life
Still a clumsy little boy inside
lucky to have her as his wife
